  29. INSTALLING CLOCKMAN
  30. ====================
  31. Installing ClockMan is simple:
  32.  
  33. 1) Run SETUP.EXE from within Windows.  Setup will let you
  34.    choose the destination directory and which parts of the
  35.    ClockMan package you wish to install (program files
  36.    only, .HLP file, updated CLOCKMAN.INI file, etc.).
  37.  
  38. 2) Run CLOCKMAN.EXE.  It comes with an alarm file already
  39.    filled with sample alarms for you to try.
  40.  
  41. 3) Choose Help from the System menu to read our comprehen-
  42.    sive online manual.

  45. PACKING LIST  (DISKETTE VERSION)

  47. Your ClockMan distribution diskette contains the following

  50. SETUP.EXE        The ClockMan setup program.
  51. SETUP.INF        A configuration file for SETUP.EXE.

  148.                     EVALUATION AGREEMENT
  149. ===========================================================
  150. Clock Manager ("ClockMan") is not and has never been public
  151. domain software, nor is it free software.  ClockMan is
  152. copyrighted by Graphical Dynamics, Inc.
  153.  
  154. You are granted a limited license to use ClockMan on a
  155. 30-day trial basis for the purpose of determining whether
  156. ClockMan is suitable for your needs.  After this initial
  157. 30-day trial license expires, you must register the program
  158. to continue using it.  The use of unlicensed copies of
  159. ClockMan by any person, business, corporation, government
  160. agency or any other entity is strictly prohibited.
  161.  
  162. A single user license permits a user to use ClockMan only
  163. on a single computer at a time.
  164.  
  165. No one may modify or patch the ClockMan executable files in
  166. any way, including but not limited to decompiling, disas-
  167. sembling, changing the icon or string resources, or
  168. otherwise reverse engineering the program.
  169.  
  170. A limited license is granted to copy and distribute
  171. ClockMan only for the trial use of others, subject to the
  172. above limitations, and also the following:
  173.  
  174. 1) ClockMan must be copied in unmodified form, complete
  175.    with the file containing this license information.
  176.  
  177. 2) The full machine-readable ClockMan documentation must be
  178.    included with each copy.
  179.  
  180. 3) ClockMan may not be distributed in conjunction with any
  181.    other product without a specific license to do so from
  182.    Graphical Dynamics.

  184. 4) No fee, charge, or other compensation may be requested
  185.    or accepted, except as authorized below:

  187.    A) Operators of electronic bulletin board systems
  188.       (sysops) may make ClockMan available for downloading
  189.       as long as the above conditions are met.  An overall
  190.       or time-dependent charge for the use of the bulletin
  191.       board system is permitted as long as there is not a
  192.       specific charge for the download of ClockMan.

  194.    B) Vendors of shareware software may distribute ClockMan
  195.       ONLY AFTER OBTAINING WRITTEN PERMISSION from
  196.       Graphical Dynamics.  Such permission is usually
  197.       granted.  Vendors may charge a reasonable disk
  198.       duplication and handling fee.

  202.                  WARRANTIES AND DISCLAIMERS

  205. LIMITED WARRANTY

  207. Graphical Dynamics guarantees your satisfaction with this
  208. product for a period of 90 days from the date of original
  209. purchase.  If you are unsatisfied with ClockMan within that
  210. time period, return the package in saleable condition to
  211. the place of purchase for a full refund.  Graphical
  212. Dynamics warrants that all disks provided are free from
  213. defects in material and workmanship, assuming normal use,
  214. for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase.

  216. Graphical Dynamics warrants that the program will perform
  217. in substantial compliance with the documentation supplied
  218. with the software product.  If a significant defect in the
  219. product is found, you may return the product for a refund.
  220. In no event will such a refund exceed the purchase price of
  221. the product.

  223. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, GRAPHICAL DYNAMICS DISCLAIMS ALL
  224. WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT
  225. LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND
  226. FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WITH RESPECT TO THE
  227. PRODUCT.  SHOULD THE PROGRAM PROVE DEFECTIVE, THE PURCHASER
  228. ASSUMES THE RISK OF PAYING THE ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY
  229. SERVICING, REPAIR, OR CORRECTION AND ANY INCIDENTAL OR CON-
  230. SEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.  IN NO EVENT WILL GRAPHICAL DYNAMICS BE
  231. LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMIT-
  232. ATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS INTER-
  233. RUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION AND THE LIKE) ARISING
  234. OUT OF THE USE OR THE INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT EVEN IF
  235. GRAPHICAL DYNAMICS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF
  236. SUCH DAMAGES.  THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC
  237. LEGAL RIGHTS.  YOU MAY HAVE OTHERS, WHICH VARY FROM STATE
  238. TO STATE.

  240. Use of this product for any period of time constitutes your
  241. acceptance of this agreement and subjects you to its
  242. contents.  This agreement is governed by the laws of the
  243. State of Washington.

  245. U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS

  247. This product is provided with restricted rights.  Use,
  248. duplication, or disclosure by the government is subject to
  249. restrictions set forth in subdivision (c)(1)(ii) of the
  250. Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software clause at
  251. 48 CFR 252.227-7013, or in subdivision (c)(1) and (2) of
  252. the Commercial Computer Software--Restricted Rights clause
  253. at 48 CFR 52.27-19, as applicable.  The contractor/
